Southernmost reliable locations for Siberian Jay & Grey-headed Chickadee in Sweden needed

From the 2nd to the 7th of April Max van Waasdijk, Sander Smit and I will visit Jelmer Poelstra in Uppsala, Sweden, hopefully for a  clean sweep of Taiga specialties. Near Uppsala Jelmer has stakeouts for Great Grey Owl (Laplanduil), Ural Owl (Oeraluil), Tengleman’s Owl (Ruigpootuil), Pigmy Owl (Dwerguil), Hazel Grouse (Hazelhoen), Capercaillie (Auerhoen) and Three-toed Woodpecker (Drieteenspecht), but we are also planning on twitching Grey-headed Chickadee (Bruinkopmees) and Siberian Jay (Taigagaai) way up north.

For the latter two species I give a shout out to anyone who knows the most southern reliable locations for these two enigmatic species. Bear in mind that we have only 4 full days in total. This implies that we’ll probably have to make the long drive to northern Sweden by night.

Please send me an email @ birding@arjandwarshuis.com if you have any tips or tricks!

Any help is much appreciated!

Happy Birding
