This Guy Will Break The World Record In Birding

The Biggest Year. This is what fanatic birder Arjan Dwarshuis named his higher goal for 2016. He has set a ‘modest’ objective for himself: breaking the world record of bird views in one year. The current record is set at 4341 species set by Alan Davies and Ruth Miller in 2008. But Arjan, confident as he is, wants to break this record and pass the 5000 species. He will travel through 22 countries to complete this task and do all of this as cheap as possible.

This bold ambition starts with Arjans life long passion for birding. Ever since he was young he has had a passion for nature and biology, which has translated itself in traveling the world pursuing his biggest feathered fantasies.

With his birding blog he changes this intovert hobby into an interesting way to pass your free hours. So next time you feel you have some spare time on your hands don’t start a staring contest with your TV but take your binoculars for a spin through the forest.
